FALCON/EAGLE user manual 4.62

With the FALCONplus Rev. 5/FALCONplus Express every video input can be through-connected to the video output. The video output is separated compared to the video input and has got an own 75 Ohm video buffer.

In a multiple board mode there is a video daisy chain available which gives the possibility to connect every video input (up to 16) to the video output of board number one.

Example:

Output camera 2 of board 3

Board 3 switches camera 2 on its video output

Connection VidOut chain out of board 3 to VidOut chain of board 2

Board 2 switches the external output on it video output

VidOut chain out of board 2 to VidOut chain of board 1

Board 1 switches the externla input on its video input

VidOut chain of board 1 to BNC VidOut

So camera 2 is routed by board 3 over board 2 and board 1 and appears on the video output of board 1.

The following figure shows the board-to-board connection of the video outputs with one shielded cable only. The routing is more complex but can be done without difficulty in the software.
