Color resolution:

Video acquisition occurs always to the main memory in YUV 4:2:2 True Color Format. Graphical representation on the VGA card can be in 8 bit, 15 bit, 16 bit (Hi-Color), 24 bit True Color (16.7 million colors) or 32 bit True Color mode.
