System requirements

The following requirements are needed for operating FALCON/EAGLE without errors:

A PC with a PCI bus, which conforms to the PCI 2.1 specification or with a PCIe bus compatible up to the PCI Express specification 2.0/2.1.

Pentium Processor with at least 600 MHz

Operating system with Windows 10 (64-bit), Windows 8/8.1 (64-bit), Windows 7 (32-/64-bit)

The Direct3D functions require the latest version of Microsoft DirectX Runtime 9.0c to be installed.

IPO thread

Modern processors have various operating states, that are characterized by different power requirements. The IPO thread (thread for performance optimization at image acquisition) is thread that runs with lowest priority. The IPO thread prevents that the PC uses the power saving mode by seemingly increasing the CPU load. However, the IPO thread runs with lowest priority. If another thread needs the CPU, it gets the CPU immediately.
