FALCON/EAGLE user manual 4.62

If several cameras are to be switched during the operation of the frame grabber, each one of the cameras has to be individually synchronized. Up to now, this has been achieved by interconnection the HD/VD inputs and outputs between the cameras. Using this technique only the master camera had to be changed and the other cameras run in slave mode. Unfortunately such interconnection requires large amounts of cabling. The integrated sync generator on the EAGLE helps to reduce this expensive cabling.

If this is activated with is_SetSync(), the cameras can be synchronized with the HD/VD from the EAGLE (master) and thus runtime tolerance due to long cable connections between the cameras can be avoided. Only one cable is required per camera, through which the video signal, power supply and the HD/VD signals from the EAGLE to the camera flow.
