The following PCI bus systems are differentiated:
•32 bit, 5 V
•32 bit, 3,3 V
•64 bit, 5 V
•64 bit, 3,3 V
The bus systems are differed with their coding. By the grooving in the contact strip it is not possible to operate a 5 V board in a 3.3 V slot. An extension are the universal boards which have both groovings and thus can be operated with 5 V and 3.3 V.
